Yemeni Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah has warned of the growing dangers of the humanitarian catastrophe and the tendency of some to thwart efforts to end the Saudi aggression against Yemen and its people.

In a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, President and Members of the UN Security Council, the President and Members of the UN Human Rights Council, the UN Envoy to Yemen and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Abdullah said, “Alliance countries of aggression and their mercenaries continue to practice a policy of collective punishment against the Yemeni people. The detention of food vessels and oil derivatives ”, stressing the need to show the systems of this alliance of goodwill by launching ships loaded with oil derivatives in a way that contributes to strengthen confidence-building measures from the parties.

Spokesman for the Ministry of Human Rights in Yemen Talaat Al-Shargabi said today that the practices of the countries of the aggression coalition and the detention of oil ships are a "war crime", pointing out that the UN team of experts confirmed that the aggression coalition is using starvation and siege as a means of war.

The coalition led by the Saudi regime has continued its aggression against Yemen since March 26, 2015, leaving thousands of civilian victims and massive destruction of infrastructure and economic infrastructure as well as siege and famine, which constituted a humanitarian disaster.
