Relations between the European Union and the British government reached a critical moment on Tuesday after Downing Street indicated that the Brexit talks were on the verge of collapse and blamed German Chancellor Angela Merkel for her failure. The president of the European Council Donald Tusk attacked on Twitter against the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson a few weeks before the deadline for brexit this October 31. Tusk told Johnson that he had no intention of concluding a brexit agreement and accused him of playing a "stupid accusations game": "They don't want an agreement, they don't want an extension, they don't want revocation, where are they going?"
