In partnership with the activities of the civil society and the administrative units, the committees of the “My Project” program of the Syrian Secretariat for Development today launched a clean-up campaign covering 73 locations in different areas, villages and towns of As-Suwayda governorate.
In a statement to SANA reporter, a project coordinator in Sweida, Said Kahl, said that the campaign, which will continue during the coming period, will include new sites on the area of the province and was launched with the aim of promoting positive behaviors and initiatives aimed at achieving interaction and networking among members of the community and highlight the importance of hygiene as a way of life.
In the village of Rima Hazem, west of the city of Sweida, which was pervaded neighborhoods, said Fares Ghiba: "Cleanliness reflects the civilization of peoples and progress", noting the cooperative atmosphere witnessed by the campaign.
In the village of Khalkhala in the northern countryside of Sweida, the campaign included public utilities and main streets, where the head of a project program committee Badie Hilal pointed to the importance of the campaign in spreading the culture of environmental conservation and calling for cooperation among all.
According to a member of the “My Project” committee in the village of Anz in the southern countryside of Sweida, Wassim Jamoul, the campaign targeted schools and public squares with the participation of volunteers and official and community activities from the town.
