The Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishreen University in Lattakia is working to create a virtual pharmacy to train students on inherent material to enable them to read prescriptions and deal with medicines and dispensing them as stated in the prescriptions of doctors and alleviate their suffering during training in private pharmacies.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed Nasser, told SANA that the virtual pharmacy we are working to create in cooperation with Unipharma Pharmaceutical Industries will be equipped with models for all pharmaceutical brands produced by pharmaceutical companies, where these companies will display their products in the coming days as if it were a private pharmacy so that students The third, fourth and fifth years of practicing the inherent material as if they were in a private pharmacy and getting acquainted with all the pharmaceutical varieties offered in the local market.
Nasser pointed out that the student can through his training in the virtual pharmacy practice his pharmaceutical work upon graduation from the university as if he had practiced the actual work for years, pointing out that the college also plans, in cooperation with the Union of Pharmacists to give lectures related to the training of pharmacy students on how to market medicine and deal with citizens in various forms.
He pointed out that work is also underway to establish new laboratories within the college, the most important laboratory of analytical chemistry because of the urgent need for him, pointing out that its importance lies in covering the teaching process in the college and training students on experiments in analytical chemistry and methods of detection and analysis of vehicles.
Nasser explained that the number of students of the Faculty of Pharmacy is 1700 students, including 165 master students in various disciplines and the number of 6 while the number of doctoral students 8 students and there is a Taliban under registration on the doctorate with two different specialties.
