The European Union's summit in Brussels next week will discuss sanctions against Turkey over its aggression on Syrian territory, French Minister of State for European Affairs Emily de Monchalin said.
Asked about the possibility of European sanctions against Turkey, Monshalin said, according to Agence France-Presse: "Obviously this is up for discussion at the European summit next week and will be discussed during the meeting of the European Council."
"We will not stand by in the face of a situation that is not only shocking to civilians who are subjected to this," Monshalin said.
