Sales of woolen carpets in the General Company for the manufacture of wool and carpets in Hama during the current year compared with the same period last year about 30 million Syrian pounds.

The company's general manager Eng. Noman Al-Asfar said in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that the company's sales this year exceeded 22,200 square meters of woolen carpets, an increase from last year's production of 2,900 square meters.

He pointed out that the expansion of the commodity assortment of woolen carpets in various measurements, discussions and colors to meet the needs of the local market in addition to the lower price in the company's sales halls in Hama, Damascus and As-Suwayda compared to popular prices in the local markets contributed to this increase sales.

He pointed out that the amount of sales of woolen yarn during the past nine months of this year amounted to 165 tons worth more than 395 million pounds and an increase of 68 tons over the same period last year, said the spinning section of the wool factory was supplied with the full need of workers on two shifts morning and evening and application Supplementary incentive system to ensure increased production.

It is noteworthy that the company set the price per meter of carpets at 10200 Syrian pounds in addition to the sale of carpets in installments to workers in the state at 11 thousand pounds over 24 months.
