(CNN Spanish) - Ovidio Guzmán López, the son of Chapo Guzmán, was released by the authorities to "save lives."

Mexico's president Andrés Manuel López Obrador said Friday that the decision was made by the security cabinet and that he supported it, but this measure was not well received by some Mexicans, although others showed their support for President López Obrador.

The president confirmed on Friday that Thursday's operation was in compliance with an arrest warrant for extradition purposes for the son of El Chapo, although Security Secretary Alfonso Durazo said it was a routine operation when authorities they were attacked by people who were in a house, and it was when they found Guzmán López.

On Friday morning, after the uproar caused by the news, trends in social networks evidenced the discomfort caused by the failed operation, with messages supporting AMLO, others asking for his resignation and one more speaking of a "failed state."

On Twitter, a message from AMLO 2015, when El Chapo escaped, became relevant this Friday after the release of Guzmán López.

"If at least the security cabinet does not resign, there will be the idea that there was complicity at the highest level in the escape of Chapo," López Obrador tweeted on July 14, 2015, three days after the escape of the prison narco. maximum security of the Altiplano.

We have been totally clear president. You govern a #EstadoFallido and it has also become clear in # Culiacán that the true Chief of the Mexican Armed Forces is another.

YOU ARE NOT. https://t.co/Pqdh1Xks0H

Former President Vicente Fox (2000-2006) mocked the actions of AMLO in an extreme security situation, and also compared the security situation in Mexico with a patient suffering from cancer and AMLO with an inefficient doctor.

⚠Attention⚠

They are advised that by presidential decree all criminals who are shooting and surpassing the authority in Culiacán that they will be accused with their moms and grandmothers to stop frightening the people, who live happy, happy, happy.

- Dr: you have been diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer.
- Patient: We are in dr time, what treatment will you give me?
- Dr: Perese, join us, let's see what happens.

We are living the same thing, only that Dr is the President, cancer is crime and the patient is 🇲🇽.

Margarita Zavala, a former independent candidate for the presence of Mexico, said that what is lived in Mexico is an abandonment by the State.

Today citizens are in more danger, they have already told criminals that they can use citizens to blackmail authority. What a danger, what sadness, what abandonment!

Marko Cortéz, executive president of the National Action Party (PAN) asked the AMLO government to restore the country's security and guarantee the integrity of families in Sinaloa.

We Mexicans have the right to live in peace. At @AccionNacional, we demand that @GovernmentMX work seriously and in a coordinated manner to restore security, guarantee the integrity of Sinaloa families and all of Mexico. # MexicoEnPaz.

Alejandro Moreno, president of the Institutional Revolutionary Party, PRI, asked to surround the national security forces and demanded results from the federal government.

1/3 Yesterday was a complex and unprecedented day in terms of security. It is not the time for political attacks. We must support the Armed Forces, which are a pride for Mexico, and seek to improve the security of all Mexicans. We demand results from the Federal Government.

- Alejandro Moreno (@alitomorenoc) October 18, 2019

From @PRI_Nacional we give our full support to the Federal Government and the Government of Sinaloa to reinforce a security strategy that guarantees the harmony, tranquility and peace of the Sinaloa families and the whole country.

Mexican actor Diego Luna lamented the "sad and frightening" news of Culiacán.

Insecurity, violence, impunity and irrefutable ungovernability. Today an afternoon and night of terror. Governments happen and nothing changes. Sad and frightening news from Culiacán.

- Diego Luna (@diegoluna_) October 18, 2019

The actor Gael García Bernal also spoke about the shooting in Sinaloa and asked for peace to return to the region.

How terrible what you see in the distance. Anything you say will sound useless at this time. But it must be said: Let the shootings end and peace come in Culiacán as soon as possible. Courage and strength to all Sinaloans.

- Gael García Bernal (@GaelGarciaB) October 17, 2019

Other opinion leaders also spoke on the case:

What a precedent the president has established with this chronicle of claudication.
It is a historical moment.

- León Krauze (@LeonKrauze) October 18, 2019

It is unfortunate what happened in Sinaloa, Guerrero and Michoacán in recent days. It reflects the process of decomposition and destruction of the social fabric, which was inherited. It's time to close ranks to regain our peace of mind; No more impunity, no more corruption.

Yes Government of 4th. Do not apologize to the people for their bullshit, I do apologize to Mexicans because I voted for this bastard! Sorry for believing in him, I was naive and I was wrong! Well my father said, that's why you don't have to get old because you become a very stupid one

President López Obrador has said that if poverty is not resolved, security will not be resolved. I believe that at the moment it is the other way around: if security is not resolved, poverty will not be resolved, because the investments will go away, jobs will not arrive and the collection will go down.

The version that four narcos, including Guzman, decided to attack a patrol of 30 elements that passed in front of his house sounds unlikely. Rather it sounds like a poorly planned operation that, therefore, failed. https://t.co/9Pqscbw0VU

Politically, AMLO had its Ayotzinapan yesterday. This is going to be a before and after.

"We will not return to the time of the massacres" Alfonso Durazo

"The previous strategy was a failure, it only brought us death" AMLO

Will they think we are idiots?

Don't you realize that TODAY there are more dead than BEFORE?

Do not know what, the official figures, already report tens of thousands?
