(CNN Spanish) - Ovidio Guzmán López, the son of Chapo Guzmán, was released by the authorities to "save lives."

Mexico's president Andrés Manuel López Obrador said Friday that the decision was made by the security cabinet and that he supported it, but this measure was not well received by some Mexicans, although others showed their support for President López Obrador.

The president confirmed on Friday that Thursday's operation was in compliance with an arrest warrant for extradition purposes for the son of El Chapo, although Security Secretary Alfonso Durazo said it was a routine operation when authorities they were attacked by people who were in a house, and it was when they found Guzmán López.

On Friday morning, after the uproar caused by the news, trends in social networks evidenced the discomfort caused by the failed operation, with messages supporting AMLO, others asking for his resignation and one more speaking of a "failed state."

On Twitter, a message from AMLO 2015, when El Chapo escaped, became relevant this Friday after the release of Guzmán López.
