A Turkish soldier has been killed and two others injured in an armed clash in the eastern province of Van.
"The soldiers who were patrolling in the Calderan region along the border with Iran came under fire, killing one soldier and wounding two others," the Anatolia news agency quoted the governor's office as saying in a statement.
A Turkish soldier was killed and three others were wounded in August in clashes with gunmen in the southeastern province of Sirnak.
The areas of southeastern Turkey are increasingly tense because of the arbitrary military campaigns and measures implemented by the forces of the regime of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan against the people of those areas.
