London-Sana
Hundreds of thousands of Britons demonstrated in London today to demand a new Brexit referendum.
Reuters reported that crowds of demonstrators sealed off large areas of central London, while others arrived at the seat of parliament with banners demanding to stay in the European Union.
"The government should pay attention to the anger of EU supporters and hold another referendum on Brexit," said James McGurry, director of the People's Vote campaign, saying the new agreement on Brexit "does not match what has been promised to the people."
Britain's House of Commons passed an amendment on Friday that obliges Prime Minister Boris Johnson to negotiate with Brussels to postpone the date for Britain's exit from the European Union on the 31st of this month.
