Three US soldiers were killed and three others injured on Thursday during exercises in the southeastern US state of Georgia.
Soldiers from the 1st Armored Brigade at Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airport in southwestern Savannah, Georgia, were aboard a combat vehicle when they were killed in an accident that killed three of them on the spot, US military spokesman Major-General Tony Aguto said. Three others were injured and taken to hospital for treatment without giving further details.
Patrick Hasted, spokesman for the Fort Stewart military base, said investigations were underway and more details would be revealed later.
