A member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Abbas Al-Atafi that the introduction of more US troops into Iraq is a violation of sovereignty and all international laws, considering that this behavior is a return to the US occupation.
Al-Atafi said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "the entry of US forces from Syria to Iraq, taking advantage of the internal situation of the country and without an Iraqi mandate is a violation of Iraqi sovereignty, an act that can not be tolerated."
He added that the House of Representatives will have during the next few decisive decisions on the presence of those forces.
The Iraqi President Barham Saleh stressed in previous statements that there is an Iraqi consensus to reject the US military presence in Iraq.
