The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights condemned the excessive use of force by the uniformed men and the violent acts of civilians that have arisen during the demonstrations in Chile. The Commission says it has received complaints that the police and military would have committed vexatious acts “to boys and girls, which included ill-treatment, blows to faces and thighs, torture, undressing of women and sexual harassment, among others. Through a statement, the IACHR urges the Chilean state and all parties involved to engage in an effective and inclusive dialogue.
