The branch of the General Organization for Potable Water in Homs has finished the construction works for the project of irrigating the villages of Al-Mada'ab, Al-Sabounieh and Houlaya in Homs countryside.

The Director of the Foundation Branch Engineer Hassan Humaidan in a statement to SANA correspondent today that the completion of the construction of a ground tank with a capacity of 500 cubic meters and the establishment of a pumping room and another for chlorination and generating group and the implementation of the pumping line length of 3600 meters and the abundance of about 60 cubic meters per hour has also commenced The rooms, the tank and the maintenance.

He pointed out that the total cost of the project, which will be put into service early next year is about 300 million pounds and benefit from about eight thousand people, noting that the mentioned villages were getting water through shallow wells or limited abundance.

The Homs Water Corporation recently developed a Rabah service project by supporting the water of the villages of Rabah, Kefram and Fahal from Al-Mastoura water after the rehabilitation of Al-Mastoura wells and the implementation of a 12 km pumping line.
