Participants in the tenth conference of the Medical Laboratory Laboratories in Syria, which began today at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus, discuss a number of themes related to the new laboratory medicine and laboratory evidence-based medicine, molecular biology, developmental disorders in children, infertility disorders, microbiology, oncology and blood diseases.

The three-day conference, accompanied by an exhibition of state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and reagents, will feature 36 lectures and two practical sessions on new approaches in hormonal and immunological analysis, molecular biological applications in cancer prevention and rapid diagnosis of fatal infectious diseases and sepsis.

The Assistant Minister of Health, Dr. Obeida Kattia, pointed out in his speech the importance of the conference in identifying new laboratory sciences to develop the work and provide the best services to patients and link between the clinical and laboratory sides, explaining the essential role of laboratory analysis in detecting pathogens and follow-up the feasibility of their treatments and determination of recovery.

In his speech, Dr. Adnan Al-Khatib pointed out that the conference sheds light on recent research and the development of methods and progress of the industry concerned with the production of laboratory equipment and reagents.

Dr. Mohammed Iyad Al-Shatti gave a lecture in which he drew attention to the new steps in the treatment of cancer and the development of chromosomes, genes and mutations that can affect them. Will contribute to successful treatments widely in the future.

Dr. Yahya Al-Shamali, a professor of molecular pathology and oncology at American universities, pointed out during his lecture the convergence between clinical laboratory medicine and surgical anatomy, noting that with the development of molecular genetics in the future, labs will rely heavily on the patient's tissue sections for genetic analysis. Dr. Ghassan Shannan highlighted in his lecture the new laboratory medicine in the diagnosis of lipid and cardiovascular diseases and global recommendations in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia, which is one of the causes of heart lesions.It focuses on linking the risk factors in reading cholesterol indicators for the prevention of heart lesions.

In a statement to SANA, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Sahar Al-Fahoum, said that she is participating in the conference in the axis of developmental disorders in children, where it clarifies the role of laboratory analysis in the diagnosis of genetic diseases, especially metabolic early and the role of screening tests in the detection of a number of diseases.

In a similar statement, the Damascus Pharmacists' Syndicate, Dr. Alia Al-Assad, stressed the importance of laboratory medicine assigned to the manual so that it conforms to the international guidelines and has a reference based on its findings in diagnosing and measuring the presence or absence of the disease and focusing on sources of medical information and scientific evidence levels.

Dr. Sahar Edlbi pointed out that her lecture focuses on the approach of short stature in children and the need to sequence laboratory tests and link them with the clinical taking into account laboratory values ​​related to children when conducting tests.
