Moroccan police arrested six people involved in planning terrorist acts during a security operation near Casablanca in western Morocco.
A police spokesman said the six were arrested in a villa in the coastal town of Tamaris near Casablanca and seized weapons, ammunition, snorkeling equipment, masks and bags containing suspicious materials in addition to a statement declaring their "loyalty" to the Islamic State terrorist group.
Moroccan anti-terrorism police are continuing to search other caches as part of the operation in the northern cities of Chefchaouen and Ouazzane, the source said.
