(CNN Spanish) - In one of the protest marches in Chile a young man appeared holding a little green man who is usually associated with the Martians - or aliens in general -, thanks to the numerous Hollywood movies. While it is true that creativity stands out in the country's protests, the presence of someone characterized as an alien did not cease to attract attention.

The widespread social protest that surprised by its massiveness and radicalism had an extra condiment with the sayings of Cecilia Morel, the wife of President Sebastián Piñera. In just 51 seconds of a private conversation, which was disseminated through the media, the deepest essence of the thoughts of men and women with great fortunes that govern a country as if it were their private enterprise was revealed.

It is no secret that Piñera is a multimillionaire man who made his fortune with an airline and if many people voted for him it is because it is said that "if a rich man comes to power he does not steal, because he already has great wealth." The issue goes beyond personal heritage and has to do with a way of thinking and living, so far away and dissociated from the large majorities that they usually lose hours in moving to their places of work in a public transport, whose price increases periodically and that - usually - billionaires have never used.

In the audio Morel said: "We will have to reduce our privileges and share with others." In a sincere and stark manner, he explained the essence of the protests in Chile where there is a social class that governs, that is aware of its privileges and that only in the face of social protest does it recognize that it will be forced to "share" wealth.

It is not a question of questioning a person for his personal fortune but of thinking about the way in which some millionaire businessmen have when they run a State and their ability to appreciate, in the deepest sense of the term, the problems that afflict most of population. And if it's Chile, it's a coincidence that, crossing the mountain range, in Argentina Mauricio Macri governs, with origins similar to those of Piñera and who asked years ago in a television program if he had never reached silver for pay something.

In a very spontaneous way, Macri recalled that as a young man he had lost all the money in the casino in Chile and had to live three days in a car asking for food until he got a turn with the father's silver, the creator of very powerful companies .

"The rich also cry" was the name of a famous Mexican soap opera starring actress Verónica Castro and this phrase is always used to indicate that the rich - although it seems so - are not insensitive to pain. But when the great masses are set in motion because they feel marginalized, the most powerful are entrenched behind the great walls that protect them from the vulgar.

Seeing the massive mobilizations, Cecilia Morel said there was "like a foreign invasion, alien." She felt that way and it was genuine. But it is worth asking if the “aliens” are not just those who are in the Palace and who seem to live in another world…
