Head of the Syrian-backed delegation, Dr. Ahmad Al-Kuzbari, stressed that the Syrian people resisted a fierce war imposed on them for years and are still recording victories on terrorism.
"We reject any form of external interference in our internal affairs, and the Syrian people alone have the exclusive right to decide the future of their country," al-Kuzbari said at the opening of the constitution debate committee in Geneva.
The head of the delegation added: We reject any form of external interference in the work of the Constitutional Discussion Committee and any discussion in Geneva based on the principles of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Syria.
"Our war against terrorism continues until the liberation of the last inch of Syrian territory," he said.
The delegation, supported by the Syrian government, arrived at the headquarters of the United Nations, where the inaugural session of the Constitution Discussion Committee is held.
