Following the wave of protests that have rocked Chile in recent weeks, the Government decided to suspend two international summits that were to be held in the country. President Sebastián Piñera announced that he is suspending the completion of the 2019 United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP25) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (Apec) that were to be held in the country in November and December.
