Damascus, (SANA) - Prime Minister Eng. Emad Khamis discussed on Monday a working meeting with the Council of the Veterinarians Syndicate

A working meeting chaired by Prime Minister Eng. Emad Khamis discussed with the Council of Veterinarians Syndicate the role of the Syndicate and the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in improving the reality of livestock and the development of a vision to restore the herd of all kinds and expand the union's investments through the establishment of cemeteries, poultry, slaughterhouses and slaughterhouses.

Engineer Khamis agreed to provide loans and facilities to the union to expand the production of veterinary medicines to include generic drugs not manufactured locally in order to achieve the adequacy of the market in parallel with the development of a marketing plan for the export of surplus and the formation of a team of ministries of local administration, environment, foreign trade, agriculture and agrarian reform and the union to achieve this.

It was agreed that the Ministry of Agriculture will provide land for the union to commend the Awassi sheep breeding project.

The union's members stressed that the union is working to intensify the control of the quality of veterinary medicines and the quality of food produced from an animal source and supervise the work of slaughterhouses and marketing of products in rural areas, calling for the establishment of a special directorate of animal health laboratories and production of vaccines at the Ministry of Agriculture to import more cakes.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform and the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers.
