For the first time in 10 years, Hong Kong's economy goes into recession. After 5 months of protests against the Government, the results are increasingly discouraging. On the one hand, tourism has plummeted by 37% for three consecutive quarters. Despite the economic stimuli provided by the Government to alleviate the situation, the picture does not seem to improve. So far, it has provided a stimulus of 2.4 billion dollars to save jobs, plus a contribution of 255 million dollars for small businesses. However, affected traders say that it is not so easy to access these grants, since they say that a large part of these funds are loans and fear they will not be able to pay them in the future.
