The advisor to the leader of the Islamic Revolution in international affairs Ali Akbar Velayati said that what is happening in Lebanon and Iraq is an internal affair and that the peoples of the two countries decide the future of their countries.

Velayati said in an interview with France 24 that the decisions of the Iraqi and Lebanese peoples and the legal systems in these two countries are the basic criterion for determining their fate, stressing that Iran will not interfere in the internal affairs of Iraq and Lebanon as it has not done for any country.

On the nuclear issue, Velayati said that Iran would surely implement the fourth step of reducing its commitments to the nuclear deal if Europe and America do not abide by their commitments.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said earlier that the fourth step in reducing Tehran's obligations under the nuclear deal would start pumping gas into centrifuges at the Fordow nuclear plant tomorrow.

The problem with the Europeans is that they do not abide by their words and pledges and everything that was issued from France, Germany and Europe in general was a fanfare, he said.

"Not only that, but they are demanding Iran to reduce its regional presence and not have defensive weapons, and this is empty and illogical," Velayati said.

In turn, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Admiral Ali Fadavi stressed that the role of the United States and the Zionist entity in the recent developments in Iraq and Lebanon is a malicious role and that these attempts are futile and will not succeed.
