The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the expansion of NATO (NATO) and access to northern Macedonia to undermine confidence and stability in the European continent and lead to increased confrontation.
"Russia's position on NATO expansion is well known," Sputnik said, referring to NATO's expansion.
Greece and Macedonia signed an agreement last year to change Macedonia's name to the Republic of Northern Macedonia and open the way for Skopje to join the European Union and NATO.
