Bashirul Shikder, a naturalized citizen in the US, is on a frantic search to find his son and daughter. Who was his wife at that time kidnapped his children and traveled with them to Syria to join the self-styled Islamic State in 2015. Now that the fall of the ISIS caliphate has been reported, Shikder travels from his home in Miami to Syria where the camps that house thousands of ISIS families hoping to find their children. All he has are photographs and messages that his ex-wife sent him during these years. Just when at last someone confirmed seeing one of his children, President Trump announced the withdrawal of US troops from Syria so the illusion that US forces they would free their children vanished, but not their hope to find them.
