Al-Kuzbari: Consensus among all parties on the core issues prepares for the progress of the work of the constitutional debate committee

Dr. Ahmad al-Kuzbari, head of the Syrian-backed delegation to the Constitution Discussion Committee, said: “Our delegation has tried to create a common ground based on national constants that no Syrian can but agree with absolutely: Syria's sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and combating terrorism.”

Speaking at a news conference in Geneva, Al-Kuzbari said: "The consensus among all parties on the core issues is preparing to make progress in the work of the constitutional discussion committee."

Al-Kuzbari pointed out that the Syrian-backed delegation to the Constitution Discussion Committee presented a proposal on the need to continue combating terrorism and enshrining it in the Constitution, pointing out that the other parties presented many papers that were not discussed because they were contrary to the agenda that we agreed to.
