That is why Ricardo Marín, an Argentine agronomist, decided to investigate the components of carob and, thus, find its different culinary uses. You can use it in your kitchen as flour or even as coffee. However, the tree that generates this fruit is frequently cut down to produce coal. The situation worries Marín, because they must wait 40 years for the carob tree to grow again.
