The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the brutal Israeli aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip and the Mezze area in Damascus, which killed a number of martyrs and wounded and caused extensive destruction of buildings and property.
The Foreign Ministry called on the international community and the UN Secretary General to intervene quickly to oblige the Israeli occupation authorities to stop its aggression against the Gaza Strip, stressing that the failure to hold Israeli officials accountable for their ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people encourages them to continue to violate Palestinian land and blood.
Two people, one of them the son of Palestinian Jihad leader Akram al-Ajouri, were killed and 10 others were injured by Israeli missiles targeting a residential building near the Lebanese embassy in the Mezzeh area in Damascus. Three Palestinians, including Jihad leader Bahaa, were killed in the attack. Abu al-'Ata and his wife were injured, along with four others, including four of al-'Ata's sons.
