Authorities in Mexico rescue a bus with immigrants kidnapped by criminal groups

In the bus that was kidnapped traveled 14 people of Honduran origin, 13 Africans, eight Salvadorans, eight Haitians and one of Guatemalan nationality.

(CNN Spanish) - At least 40 migrants and some Mexicans who had been kidnapped on roads in the state of Veracruz by a criminal group were rescued by Mexican authorities.

The Ministry of Public Security and the State Attorney General's Office activated the protocols to achieve the rescue of kidnapped immigrants, they said in a statement.

The SSP confirmed that after being rescued, migrants already receive the necessary attention in these types of cases.

In the bus that was kidnapped traveled 14 people of Honduran origin, 13 Africans, eight Salvadorans, eight Haitians and one of Guatemalan nationality.

It was also reported that there were also 12 Mexicans on board who were also attended by the Veracruz authorities.
