Most universities and schools in Lebanon have reopened today after the Lebanese army opened most of the main and secondary roads blocked by protesters in the past few days in most areas of Lebanon.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that "most of the roads are experiencing normal movement with the deployment of elements of the army and security forces on these roads and prevent their closure despite the survival of some roads in the north and the Bekaa and the Choueifat road, which the Lebanese army is working to open," noting that the international road in Aley is still closed in When schools and universities opened their doors in the upper Metn.
Traffic also returned to normal in Tripoli, and public and private institutions, interests and official departments opened their doors to citizens' reviews, while banks remained closed in compliance with the decision of the Union of Bank Employees.
A number of main roads were recorded today, namely the international highway at the Palma point, the highway in Beddawi and the new highway opposite the Quality Inn hotel, in addition to the lanes and roads leading to Nour Square, which has been closed for 30 days amid the deployment of Lebanese security forces.
Also, all roads in Nabatieh and Koura districts witnessed normal traffic this morning as universities, schools, government departments and commercial establishments were opened, except for banks that are still closed.
The Lebanese army and security forces are working to open as many roads as possible, although the protesters laid stones, dust and concrete materials on the roads in the south and in the tunnel of the Kalb river to Tripoli.
