According to statistics from the Statistics and Census Bureau of Macao, total passenger spending (excluding gaming) in the third quarter of 2019 was 15.2 billion yuan (MOP, the same below), down 17.2% year-on-year; overnight visitors (12.19 billion yuan) and overnight visitors The total consumption of (3.01 billion yuan) was reduced by 20% and 3.2% respectively.

In the first three quarters of this year, total passenger spending totaled 47.83 billion yuan, a decrease of 6.7% over the same period of 2018. The number of overnight visitors (37.39 billion yuan) decreased by 9.4%. In terms of consumption categories, passenger spending is mainly used for shopping (45.2%), accommodation (26.9%) and catering (20.5%).
