Tehran - Sana
A number of Iranian cities witnessed mass demonstrations today to condemn the recent riots that accompanied the protests following the decision to raise gasoline prices.
The protesters gathered despite the coldness in the cities of Tabriz, Zanjan, Nahawand and Samnan condemning the riots and chaos and targeting the infrastructure and public and private properties by the rioters, stressing their support for their country and its leadership in the face of the economic blockade and the unfair embargo.
Earlier in the day, Tehran's police chief, Brigadier-General Hussein Rahimi, said rioters had committed atrocities in the capital over the past two days and caused a lot of damage to public and private property.
