In a written statement prior to his questioning in the Intelligence Committee, US Ambassador to the EU, Gordon Sondland, has severely incriminated US President Donald Trump.
According to this, Sondland had made "preliminary investigations into a precondition" for the then security adviser John Bolton and Ukrainian officials for a meeting with Trump in the White House. That was on the orders of Donald Trump. He also confirmed that Trump had allegedly made a military aid to Kiev dependent on desired investigations in Ukraine against his domestic rivals.
He had concluded in the summer that the disbursement of military aid would not occur, as long as Ukraine does not commit in a public statement to investigate, inter alia, against the gas company Burisma, Sondland said before the US Congress. For Burisma was previously the son of Trump rival and US presidential candidate Joe Biden operates.
