Deadline to form Government in Israel expires

The efforts to form a government in Israel failed. Benny Gantz seems to have exhausted all his possibilities in the 28 days of negotiations. According to a spokesman for the Blue and White party to CNN, Gantz decided to return the mandate to Benjamin Netanyahu. That said, the country will have to wait three weeks to find out if any of the 120 members of Parliament gather a simple majority and thus become prime minister.
