ET meets an adult Elliot (Henry Thomas) in a surprise commercial for Thanksgiving from the Xfinity company.

(CNN) - ET - yes, ESE ET! - made a surprise appearance in a Thanksgiving commercial from the Xfinity telecommunications company. Only this time, the famous alien landed on Earth on purpose, and is learning about tablets and playing in the snow.

In the four-minute announcement, ET parks his spaceship in the backyard of an adult Elliott (played by Henry Thomas, repeating the role he taught children how to pretend to be sick).

Elliott's children and wife are surprised to see this little raisin-shaped creature, but Elliott enthusiastically hugs his old friend from 1982.

In a montage of their winter stay on Earth, everyone's favorite alien revives dead flowers, tries virtual reality glasses and glides through the snow with Elliott's two children.

It is also implied that ET has a family of his own, since he looks longingly at a small orb that shines with the holograms of a smaller ET.

In one part of the announcement, the children of Elliott and ET fly by bicycle before the full moon, but this time it is for fun and not to escape the bad guys.

When the time comes for ET to call his home, Elliott says goodbye with tears in his eyes. And the spectators cry with him.

"I'll be here," ET tells Elliott's son, pointing to his heart, before returning to his spaceship.

But then the son's shirt starts to shine, and he finds the same orb in which ET saw his family, but now Elliott and his children can see ET! Interstellar communication is much easier now than in the 1980s.

The tears may stop after the third, fourth or hundredth time you see the ad. But if not, remember that your old friend ET is always with you, here .
