At 9 pm, demonstrators began to gather around Nathan Road near Changsha Street in Mong Kok. They blocked the road with debris and set fire to it, and traffic on Nathan Road was blocked. Demonstrators on Dundas Street blocked the road with a fire. By 9:30, more than 50 riot police officers were on the scene. The protesters left in the direction of Argyle Street and continued to block the road along the way. In the meantime, they passed by Yoshinoya's house on Soya Street. They stopped for a time, opened the gates and destroyed glass and benches. They left in less than ten minutes. Later, when they passed Saijie Street, they also stopped and destroyed the Taixing Siu Mei Tea Restaurant, which had staff members at the time. They then blocked the road outside the Jiewang shopping mall on Argyle Street.

At 9:45 pm, the riot police on Nathan Road suddenly rushed out before urging not to illegally assemble, and the crowd crowded. Thereafter, they entered Shandong Street to disperse the crowd and raised the blue flag. By 10:12 pm, riot police advanced to Argyle Street. Later, riot police advanced along Sai Yeung Choi Street South, during which 10 to 20 people were intercepted. The intercepted person raised his hands facing the wall and was searched and bag searched.
