The Shopping Festival (Sweet Ya Baladi), which is located in the headquarters of the Officers Club in Homs, seeks to be a marketing window for food, detergents and some cosmetics and decorations offered by about 22 national companies at competitive prices.
SANA monitored the views of some citizens who flocked to buy their needs.Mayada Suleiman pointed out that the festival is an opportunity to provide the family's needs and daily needs at competitive prices, while Abdel Karim Ghali stressed the role of the festival to provide basic goods to citizens away from the greed of traders.
Ghofran Ayyash, Director of Qamar Exhibitions Organizing Agency, explained that the aim of the festival is to break the stalemate and monopoly and move the purchasing power of the citizen as most of the participating companies manufacture national products with high quality and competitive prices.
Asaad Hassan, a food company agent, said they were selling concerts and jams at below-market prices with attractive offers during the festival, while Ismail al-Shawish in a chemical detergent booth pointed out that they sold the items at a discount of about 30 percent.
Wafa Salloum, owner of a jewelery project, said she had set a small profit margin to support the spread of her products.
