An official source at the State Department said that the statement issued by the US State Department on the sessions of the Constitution Discussion Committee held in Geneva once again categorically reaffirms the US attempts to interfere in the affairs of states and impose its own agendas.
The source added that the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic affirms that this dialogue is Syrian-Syrian and that no one has the right to interfere or support any party under any pretext and that the role of the United Nations represented by its Special Envoy Mr. Pederson is limited to facilitating the Committee's discussions and facilitating its affairs only.
The source stressed that any opinions or statements from the United States or others have no value and will not affect the work of the Committee and the nature, form and content of its dialogues.
