290 engineers celebrated their graduation today Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering University of Damascus under the name of "victory victory" and honored the outstanding and the first of them on the runway of the college.
In the speech of the National Union of Syrian Students, the head of the administrative body of the college, Samer al-Ayazra, said that during the war years, the college students were in one trench with our heroic army with their minds and pens on their seats.
In the graduates' speech, Eng. Suleiman Abdo and Eng. Nadine Mardini considered that the graduation is the fruit of harvesting five years of effort, will and determination, stressing that it is an important station to move to working life and contribute to building Syria.
The graduation ceremony was attended by the distribution of certificates and shields to the graduates and the presentation of films about their academic career at the college, Dr. Mohammed Maher Qabakibi, President of Damascus University, deans of a number of colleges and technical institutes and a large crowd of graduates.
The Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering was established in 1962 as a high industrial institute and turned into a college in 1972 and includes eight engineering departments in addition to the Department of Basic Sciences and is one of the largest faculties of the University of Damascus, where more than 17 thousand students.
