TEHRAN: Iran's deputy military commander for operational affairs Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi has reiterated his country's determination to respond to the terrorist targeting of an Iranian oil tanker in the Red Sea at the right time and place after fully identifying those involved in the attack.
Moussaoui was quoted by Fars news agency as saying that Iran has no desire to take any step in which it violates laws and customs as some countries do at sea, but that does not mean to stand idly by and allow others to do what they want.
Mousavi pointed out that the Iranian authorities have documents and evidence about those who are directly and indirectly involved in this bad and terrorist act.
He added that Iran believes that international organizations such as the World Navigation Organization have the responsibility not to allow the expansion of such practices and destabilize maritime security.
On October 11, an Iranian oil tanker was hit by an explosion that hit the structure of the tanker, 60 miles from the Saudi port of Jeddah.
