2019-12-01T13:50:09.447Z

The tripartite coalition in Saxony is perfect: CDU, Greens and SPD presented the joint coalition paper. Issues in school policy and transport are therefore clarified.

The coalition agreement in Saxony is. The leaders of the CDU, SPD and Greens presented on Sunday in Dresden after just six weeks of negotiations, the joint paper for a Kenya alliance. About the coalition agreement SPD and Greens now want to vote their members, at the CDU a party congress is to finally seal the coalition.

Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (CDU), SPD leader Martin Dulig and the two Green negotiators Katja Meier and Wolfram Günther presented the contract in Dresden. It is the first tripartite coalition in Saxony since the fall of the Wall and after Saxony-Anhalt and Brandenburg the third Kenya coalition in Germany.

The coalition negotiations to form a joint government had begun after a lengthy fact-finding round on 21 October. All three parties repeatedly insisted on trying to negotiate on equal terms - even if the performance in the state elections on 1 September was very different. The CDU was with 32.1 percent of the second votes strongest force before the AfD (27.5 percent). Behind them ranked Left (10.4), Green (8.6) and SPD (7.7). CDU Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer categorically closed a coalition with the Left and the AfD in advance.

In the following weeks, the negotiations went silently on the stage. On Friday, however, the Kenya partners had to change the internal planning again. For an appointment in the afternoon for presentation was not invited in the end. Coalition circles were told that the text of the treaty had to be revised at some points. Issues were among other things the anchoring of a community school in the Saxon school law, the marking duty for police officers, the traffic policy and a public procurement law. On all counts, the coalitioners found compromises or gave up their previous position in favor of others who wanted to place them in the treaty.
