With the participation of 22 students, graduates of fine arts and a number of plastic artists, Juzoor Association for Development and Psychosocial Support held an art exhibition entitled “Zenobia” on the occasion of the 16 Days Campaign to Combat Violence against Women.
Introducing the subject of violence against women through art The aim of the exhibition, according to plastic artist Leila Al-Osta as a sublime message, in partnership with the Committee of Businesswomen Damascus Chamber of Commerce, noting that the work varied between painting and photography in addition to graphic design was expressive and symbolic style dominated most of them.
Regarding the role of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce Businesswomen Committee, Al-Usta explained that the association is seeking to participate in the events concerned with women's issues.
Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Dr. Ihsan Al-Ar stressed the importance of the role of art against violence against women, where art is the main engine for all issues of society and is a visual communication between members of the community in addition to being a means of communication of the situation and information between the artist and the recipient.
The exhibition included more than 20 posters and 15 oil paintings that simulated the reality of women and was at a decent level, the main objective of which is to stop violence against women.
