87 Egyptian students in a school in Dakahlia today suffered from suffocation and difficulty breathing inside the school.
Al-Masry Al-Youm website quoted Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Dakahlia governorate Saad Mekki as saying that the injured students suffer from breathing difficulties due to inhalation of paint or detergents.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in the province, Ali Abdul Raouf pointed out that the incident occurred after a school employee found a dead cat inside a classroom and sterilized its place with a strong insecticide and disinfectant, causing choking.
