The quantities of cotton marketed from Al-Hasakah governorate for ginning and marketing of cotton gins in Hama and Homs governorates have reached 37,380 tons since the beginning of marketing operations last October.
The director of Al-Hasakeh Grocery, Mahmoud Al-Eisheh, told SANA today that the marketing of cotton in the governorates of Al-Hasakeh, Deir Al-Zour and Raqqa through the Al-Hasakeh grocery continues to Al-Fida, Al-Assi and Al-Walid gins in Hama and Homs governorates at an average rate of 800 tons per day.He expected marketing operations to continue until the 20th of this month.
He also pointed out that the peasants who market their cotton production through the governorate of Al-Hasakah towards the mentioned gins are provided with papers proving that cotton is transported through its administrative borders in order to compensate them for transport charges.
It is noteworthy that the values of cotton marketed by farmers in the province of Al-Hasakah are spent to the marketing centers of the General Organization for cotton ginning and marketing in the governorates at the specified price of 360 pounds per kilogram in addition to the cost of transporting cotton.
