NATO summit in London: Trump is angry at "duplicitous" Trudeau - and says press conference

US President Trump is not in the mood for further press conferences at the NATO summit - and declines his participation in the closing statement. Previously, he had been upset about apparent revelations from Justin Trudeau.



Donald Trump and Justin Trudeau have never been best friends - but a short video clip has made the US president particularly angry with Canada's prime minister at the NATO summit in London. The sequence shows Trudeau on Tuesday evening in conversation with the heads of government of France, Britain and the Netherlands - and apparently when blaspheming about Trump.

The US President responded on Wednesday angry on the scene and called Trudeau "duplicitous." Canada's prime minister was dissatisfied with addressing poor defense spending, Trump said.

A little later, Trump wrote on Twitter, he would attend after the closing of today's talks at any other press conference - unlike planned. "We've had so many in the last two days," Trump wrote.
