Three years ago, the three sisters, Amal, Ghazala, and Lama Al-Jaghami from As-Suwayda, did not expect their hobby of handicrafts and the manufacture of fur covers for mobile phones to turn into a small production project that specializes in making toys for children and decorations in homes and salons.

The project, according to the three sisters, aims to achieve a financial income that helps them secure their expenses in universities and at home so as not to be a burden on their parents, as well as filling their spare time with things that are loved for them and to provide a unique manual work for other handicrafts.

Sisters Amal and Ghazala and Lama rely on their work as the elder sister engineer Amal in her interview with Sana reporter to draw the necessary design for the models and then cut the fabrics accordingly and stuffed with woolen material and sewing and even decorated with Eva paper in various forms.

Simple ideas employed by the three sisters within the models to give aesthetic make it desirable to acquire, reflecting the accuracy of the work and skill and access to as many interested in the field of handicrafts.

Elder sister Amal shows that they started marketing their products through social media and then participated in many exhibitions after people became acquainted with their work until they met today with many women specialized in manual labor within the exhibition of permanent crafts house which was launched recently.

A great sense of the value of the work is borne by the three sisters at the completion of the design of any model that admires the viewers or acquirers, which motivates them to continue to produce more, despite all the difficulties related to high prices of raw materials, as mentioned by the elder sister Amal.

According to the younger sister of Lama, an agronomist, she did not expect that in a short period of work they would reach the stage of production, marketing and identification of their products, indicating that the majority of their ideas came spontaneously and simply and left their impact on the work done.

The project also shows Luma encourages her to rely on herself to be active in society, demonstrating her ambition with her two sisters to continue without stopping and publicizing their production outside the boundaries of their province.

Many small projects have been successfully established and distinguished by women, but in a few cases, three sisters have come together in the same way as the Daughters of the Jaghami project, which was a prominent title for collaborative collective action within the same family.
