(CNN Spanish) - It all started in 1969, in a street where colorful muppets and humans lived and learned, side by side. Today, 50 years later, one of the emblematic programs of television celebrates 50 years: Sesame and since then, it has helped children around the world to learn, feel included and respect others and above all, to be educational. With a curriculum that has evolved over the years to meet the needs of each new generation, it is now a force for good, in more than 70 languages and 150 countries.
Two of his most colorful and fun characters, Elmo and Lola, left the New York neighborhood of Sesame Street and visited the facilities of Zona Pop and were very happy to share the microphones with us.
The date was something off this planet. We never imagined that we would have in the CNN studios in Spanish two muppets of red and pink to talk about everything, from the pranks they like to do, how they live in Sesame and who are their favorite singers.

One of the main characteristics that Sesame seeks is the inclusion in society and the way to do it, is to create muppets with different characteristics so that children see that all the inhabitants of the Earth can live together without problems.
