A secret discourse

Special guys sing from the heart

In a few weeks, a seven-year study cycle will come to an end and daily regular page learning will begin again. The graduation events across the country and the world are always very uplifting and special, but in five of the events that will take place this year, a different kind of excitement will be added as the stage will rise to appear in the 'Secret Discourse' choir.

"Secret Discourse" is an association that helps people with special needs, and in honor of the important event and upcoming performances at the graduation events - the association's choir has released an exciting clip to tears in collaboration with singer Mandy Jerupi. The guys who participate in the clip and make up the nonprofit choir also learn their daily lesson themselves. While not everyone will complete a full cycle in this round, the clip shows that they too want and can be part of the study.

We are equal, we are like everyone else

"They are going to sing with the thought that although we are people with disabilities, the Torah belongs to us as well. We also study the Torah and go to sing in her honor," says Rabbi Shimon Levy, CEO of Shaykh Sud.

The special clip was able to give the talented singers another experience: the experience of equality. "They were so excited to feel that they were like everyone else, that they were equal, that they work like everyone else and now they have another stage where they can feel like everyone else," he adds.

Choosing the song was also significant. The song "Unshamed" that the disciples sing carefully was chosen to express their longing for Torah study.

"Most of the trainees have passed the route from Maon through Ganim, the Talmud Torah and Yeshiva to the stage of employment. This is a continuum of progress and one of the most exciting peaks," Rabbi Levy concludes.
