Judge on boys suspected of sex offenses in lowland: "horrific events"

The Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court on Wednesday reduced the publication ban on suspected sex offenses in a lowland girl. The nine suspects, boys aged 15-16, are each involved in their most serious sexual offenses against the victim - 14. The suspects have recently been arrested. Tomorrow, they will return to the education system, but will remain under house arrest for 30 days.

Judge Guy Avnon noted in his decision that "these are serious incidents, some of them horrifying, which occurred on suspicion over a period of several months. Some in the homes of some of the suspects and some in open space." The judge also noted that the investigative materials establish a reasonable suspicion of the highest intensity that binds the suspects.

Adv. Adi Carmeli, who represents one of the suspected boys, said: "This is a very sensitive, proper and necessary case to keep those involved who are all minors is that all the allegations will be heard in court at closed doors."

Yesterday the court allowed the case to be published. Nine suspects were arrested last month by a special investigative team in a lowland area. Since then, the arrest of the suspects has been extended by the court from time to time and in the last hearing on their case, the suspects were released for extended house arrest. The investigation into their case is still ongoing.
