(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 18 - Microsoft Italia and the Ministry of Education, University and Research today renewed the collaboration and signed a new three-year agreement protocol to promote a culture of innovation through more digital teaching , inclusive and sustainable. The partnership, launched in 2015, has seen over 100,000 teachers and school managers involved in training and refresher courses on issues related to the integration of new technologies in teaching methods at the School and over 35,000 students throughout Italy participate in training, workshops and workshops dedicated to new digital trends to acquire the skills necessary to face the jobs of the future. MIUR and Microsoft Italia will continue along this path to experiment with new models for teaching and learning: artificial intelligence, the cloud and the use of digital platforms are just some of the tools and technologies that allow teachers to update the classroom teaching and young people to develop those digital and transversal skills that are increasingly required by the global market. The agreement was signed today at the "Greatest lesson in the world" event, a day at MIUR where students from schools in the Lazio region, professors and Microsoft experts explored together the Goals for Sustainable Development of the United Nations and in-depth how new digital trends can contribute to their achievement.
"We are proud to be here today at the Ministry of Education and to renew our collaboration once again, to contribute to the cultural, social and economic growth of our country through digital innovation.
New technologies are changing the way we live and work. It is therefore necessary to equip students with the appropriate tools and allow them to acquire those skills that will make them qualified professionals in the future. We cannot do it alone, the comparison with the Institutions is fundamental just as the teachers who are in charge of guiding our children and helping them to seize the opportunities and benefits generated by technology are indispensable. Together we can really give an important acceleration to the growth of our country and to the spread of a culture of innovation "said Silvia Candiani of Microsoft Italy." Today - explained the Minister of Education, University and Research Lorenzo Fioramonti - we renew a partnership between Microsoft and the Ministry of Education, University and Research, which aims to use new technologies in a responsible and intelligent way, because technologies can be the element that undermines the present and helps us to improve world. By using them responsibly, teaching and co-producing with today's youth a different way of conceiving society and conceiving teaching, we are building today's generation ".
