Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Australia for three days and attended the 20th anniversary ceremony of Macau's return. Many Hong Kong journalists were refused entry when they went to Australia for an interview. Yang Jianxing, chairman of the Association of Recorders, said that it was difficult to understand why Macau refused entry of journalists, describing it as inexplicable.

Macao Legislative Councillor Au Jin-hsin also pointed out that the rejection of journalists by the Macao authorities with the "Internal Security Framework Law" is a "no need" to combat the image of Macau.

Earlier, reporters from Now News Station, Hong Kong Radio, Commercial Radio, Wireless News, "South China Morning Post" and "Apple Daily" were refused entry; another reporter from Hong Kong and Taiwan was checked by the local police station for two and a half. It was released after hours.

Yang Jianxing stated this morning (19th) on the commercial Taiwanese program "Departure on a Sunny Day" that it was difficult to understand why Macau refused to allow journalists to enter the country. He questioned the factors that would prevent entry if there was a list.

The Macao authorities refused to enter China on the grounds that journalists engaged in endangering public safety and order in Macau. Yang Jianxing believed that journalists could not end up in the security of Macao as a news organization. It was worrying that the decision of the authorities was inexplicable. He also questioned that it was difficult to judge the endangerment of social security based on the phone content of the reporter.

Yang Jianxing believes that the Macau authorities are extremely tense and weird. It is difficult to understand why Hong Kong journalists are not welcomed. They regret the incident and urge the Mainland and Macau to respect the freedom of the press. They have also sent an open letter to the Macau government. Regarding how the Hong Kong government can assist journalists, he frankly has low expectations. For example, in recent months' demonstrations, the government was unable to assist reporters in interviews.

Macao Legislative Councillor Qu Jinxin pointed out that during President Xi Jinping's visit to Macau, Macau has adopted security measures not seen in the past 20 years, including suspension of the light rail Taipa line and prohibition of oil tankers. He went on to say that the first two days of the petrol station had also made a big splash, describing measures as disturbing the people.

Regarding the refusal of Hong Kong reporters to enter Macau for interviews, Mr Au said that the incident had hit Macau's image. He said that in the past, Hong Kong social movement personnel have also been refused entry. Recently, non-Macao residents have been refused entry. It has become more common during Xi Jinping's visit to Australia. He went on to point out that even if Macao residents were detained when they entered the country, he heard that there were at least two cases in which Macao residents were released after a few hours of investigation when they returned from Hong Kong to Macao, which was rare. The district estimates that the Macau authorities hold a blacklist of denied entry.

Regarding the denial of entry of journalists by the Macao authorities under the "Internal Security Outline Law", Qu Jinxin pointed out that the original purpose of the legislation was to target international terrorist organizations and triads, but the current use of refusal to enter the country is "unnecessary."
