Bridge between police and indigenous communities

An initiative to facilitate communication between indigenous communities and authorities emerged in Los Angeles. It is a card that identifies the language of people who do not speak English or Spanish and that helps provide the assistance of an interpreter if necessary. The measure came after the death of Guatemalan immigrant Manuel Jamines, in the middle of a police intervention.
